Chemical Peel: A Skin Color Correction Treatment that Helps Reveal Smoother, More Even Skin

The older you get and the more damaged your skin becomes, the older you look. That’s just how things go. While you can’t enjoy your youth forever, we have treatments that can help you look and feel younger longer! Chemical peels are among the most popular and most in-demand skin color correction treatments we offer here at Live Gorgeous OC, as this procedure can effectively improve your skin’s appearance and reveal smoother, healthier, and more radiant skin.

The skin is our body’s largest organ, and it’s also the most exposed. Every day and each time we step outside, we become exposed to countless elements that damage our skin—harmful ultraviolet rays, varying temperatures, dirt, and pollutants.

Do you constantly wish that you could simply peel age spots and damaged skin off your face? Chemical peels performed by qualified dermatologists and aestheticians do just this. Because our bodies are constantly shedding skin, chemical peels can enhance this biological process and help our skin easily shed off layers of the old skin so that newer, healthier skin cells come to the surface. Here at Live Gorgeous OC, we apply a special solution that seeps in the deep layers of your skin and stimulates it to shed more rapidly than normal. What is revealed later on is healthier and smoother skin that’s free from blemishes and other imperfections.

We perform chemical peels in order to address problems like age spots, freckles, acne, acne scars, dry and sun-damaged skin, dull complexion, as well as fine lines around the eyes and mouth.

The skin color correction treatment we provide can effectively minimize the effects of aging, sun damage, and other skin conditions. We also recommend it to patients with melasma and skin discoloration that can’t be resolved by other types of treatments. Whether you’re interested in undergoing a chemical peel to treat an existing skin problem or simply want to minimize the signs of aging, you’ll be able to achieve a wide range of benefits such as fewer wrinkles, smoother skin, brighter complexion, and more even skin tone through this procedure.

Want to know if you’re a good candidate for a chemical peel? Please get in touch with us and call us at 714-754-1985 to schedule an appointment soon. During your initial consultation, we will listen to your concerns and determine the best course of treatment for your condition.

Aside from chemical peels, we also have wrinkle removal and skin tightening procedures such as laser treatments, dermal fillers, and non-surgical facelifts to help you achieve smoother, more youthful skin.

ReFirme: The Non-surgical Solution for Skin Tightening in Orange County

Did you always want to get a facelift to get smoother, more youthful looking skin but were too afraid of the pain or going under the knife? Thankfully, non-surgical facelifts are now possible. Thanks to a revolutionary treatment for skin tightening in Orange County called ReFirme with Elõs™ (electro-optical synergy), you can now have smoother, healthier skin without surgery or downtime.

ReFirme is an FDA-approved non-invasive procedure that features the innovative Elõs technology. The treatment helps smoothen and tone your skin without surgery by targeting the most obvious signs of aging, including sagginess and laxity in the brow line, jowl, and neck, as well as crow’s feet and nasolabial folds. It can also be used on other areas of the body like the chest, arms, stomach, and buttocks. Unlike other laser skin treatments that take up a lot of time and require extended recovery periods from patients, this revolutionary solution for sagging and wrinkled skin is quick and virtually painless.

ReFirme with Elõs technology works by combining bi-polar radio frequency and light energies to heat the dermal tissue within affected areas. Compared to intense pulse light (IPL) and conventional laser treatments, Elõs technology is safer, non-invasive, and doesn’t result in any scars. The combination of these technologies, as well as ReFirme’s ability to accurately target specific areas of the skin, successfully guarantees a comfortable, effective, and quick procedure with no downtime.

The ReFirme skin tightening treatment is so gentle that it can be used on any type of skin and skin color. It also doesn’t require sedation or anesthesia. In fact, some of our patients have even reported that they’ve undergone skin tightening in Orange County during their lunch break and were able resume their activities immediately!

The benefits of ReFirme with Elõs technology are obvious from the very first treatment, but to see the full results and effects of the procedure, we recommend that patients come in for 3 to 6 visits depending on their skin condition. After you’ve completed your treatment, you can look forward to significant wrinkle reduction and smoother, tighter, and more radiant skin.

Aside from ReFirme with Elõs, we here at Live Gorgeous OC also offer a wide range of other skin treatments such as wrinkle removal, chemical peels, and dermal fillers like Botox, Restylane-L, Perlane, and Perlane-L. Not sure which treatments are best for your skin? Click here to book an appointment with us! During your initial consultation, we’ll listen to your concerns, identify problem areas, and determine the best solution to keep your skin healthy, youthful, and radiant.

Beauty 101: Laser Wrinkle Removal

Who doesn’t want to stay young and beautiful? While looks may be fleeting, it is within your power to slow the effects of aging, particularly when it comes to wrinkles. Laser wrinkle removal is now one of the hottest trends in the beauty industry, especially for those who want to stop the clock and gain back their youthful skin. Through laser procedures, you can say goodbye to wrinkles and embrace a more beautiful, youthful you.

How It Works

As we age, exposure to pollution and the sun destroys collagen in the skin, which is essential to youthful skin by keeping it line-free. Adding the pressure of the natural aging process, it leaves no wonder that crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and other skin imperfections occur over time.

Laser wrinkle removal works by using energy to boost the natural production of collagen and helping the skin resurface. It has been proven effective in removing the telltale signs of aging while improving skin in areas surrounding the eyes, mouth, and neck.

The Benefits

While there are many skin resurfacing techniques in the market, many of them come with side effects. The best part about laser wrinkle removal is that it has minimal to no side effects. It is often conducted in short treatment sessions with no downtime, enabling patients to return to their activities after each session with no discomfort. It is non-invasive and painless, with little maintenance involved.

There are many kinds of laser wrinkle removal techniques today. One of which is the Matrix, which utilizes a fractionated laser that treats deep-set wrinkles and smoker’s lines. Another is ReFirme, which uses lower energy than other laser treatments to ensure patient comfort. It utilizes optical and electrical energy for optimum comfort. It is also a proven solution for tightening skin in problem areas.

Where to Go

Many different clinics offer laser wrinkle removal. However, when it comes to your health and appearance, it is imperative that you trust only the professionals. Live Gorgeous OC could help you look great despite your age with our wide range of skin rejuvenation and resurfacing techniques, including hair removal, wrinkle reduction, and chemical peels, among others. With Live Gorgeous OC, it doesn’t matter if you’re 30 or 60, with light, medium, or dark complexion. Our procedures and expertise can make you look and feel great at any age.

Skin Rejuvenation 101: Post-care Tips after Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling is a simple form of skin rejuvenation procedure that promotes skin renewal in a safe, non-invasive way. All it entails is the application of the peeling agent to the face or other body part, and the skin will peel away from one to 14 days to expose brand new, blemish-free skin underneath. For this reason, it is the choice of many when it comes to removing unwanted spots such as skin discoloration, acne marks, and other skin blemishes. However, most people are unaware that the new skin tends to be fragile and prone to infection especially during the peeling period.

There are different kinds of chemical peels and your reaction to them may vary. If you are going through chemical peeling, be mindful of the following to safeguard against complications:

    • Avoid picking at the peeling, scratching the skin, or tearing it off prematurely. Doing so could cause discoloration and make the skin prone to infection. This might occur because the regrowth of the skin in the damaged area may not be ready yet, thus giving you that pinkish, sensitive skin.
    • Ensure that you thoroughly follow your healthcare provider’s instructions post-treatment. Do not wet your face immediately after the procedure and avoid applying topical ointments unless instructed to do so. This includes using the prescribed wash for reducing itchiness. If you are only instructed to wash your face with it twice a day, do not wash your face every time it itches, since doing so exposes your skin to excessive chemicals which may not hasten your skin’s regrowth.
    • If you had a deep peel, ensure that you change the dressing and apply the creams and ointments provided by your physician as instructed. As much as possible, you should change the dressing at least once a day to ensure that the area is healing well.
    • Avoid sun exposure, particularly during the first few days. If you must venture outdoors, then use sunscreen and wear a wide-brimmed hat. Your new skin is more prone to sun damage, so you should take care of it at all costs.

When it comes to skin rejuvenation and other beauty treatments, it is important that you follow your provider’s instructions to ensure that you will have a speedy and remarkable recovery. However, if you do experience pain and discomfort even after following these instructions, contact your provider immediately since your body may be reacting negatively to the peel other than expected.
